Summer 2011 in Review


Here is a brief summer update on recent developments at Ridge View Youth Services Center.  We are pleased to announce Ridge View was approved by the Division of Behavioral Health as a certified outpatient substance abuse Treatment Program. At the same time, Ridge View Academy learned that our students achieved Annual Yearly Progress as per No Child Left Behind.  To date, in 2011 RVA has awarded 18 high school diplomas as well as 30 GED’s. From an athletic standpoint, RAM Cyclists were Colorado Junior state champions for the third straight year and had the individual champ as well. The RAMS club also advanced Colorado DYC’s restorative community justice agenda this summer by providing over 3,600 hours of meaningful public service to agencies including Arapahoe County Parks and Recreation, Colorado Special Olympics Summer Games and Armed Service Veterans Administration.
